The scope of this research focuses on discursive practices that demonstrate the mechanisms of power through the regulation of bodies, the formation of thought, and the emergence of forms of resistance in literary texts. The method used is descriptive qualitative with a critical discourse analysis approach based on Michel Foucault to examine the relationship between discourse, knowledge, and power. The research data consist of words, phrases, sentences, dialogues, and quotations from the short story “Corat-Coret di Toilet” that indicate discursive practices, social control, power relations, and forms of resistance against power. The findings reveal three main points: power relations over the body, power relations over thought, and resistance to power. Power relations over the body are identified through the father’s control over his daughter’s freedom in “Si Cantik yang Tak Boleh Keluar Malam,” whereas power relations over thought are seen in the university’s efforts to erase writings on toilet walls as a form of discourse control. An interesting fact from this study is that the toilet walls, often considered unimportant spaces, actually become alternative spaces for anonymous individuals to express criticism, ideas, and social unrest. These findings show that power operates not only through formal rules but also through discourse control, while resistance can emerge through discursive spaces that exist outside dominant power.
2026-07-13T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Nensilianti, Bungatang, Nhayla Zahra Annisa Muchlis Nhaylahttps://ejournal.uimsya.ac.id/index.php/Peneroka/article/view/5222ANALISIS LINGUISTIK TERHADAP LIRIK LAGU “EVALUASI” KARYA HINDIA: KAJIAN SEMANTIK DALAM BAHASA INDONESIA2026-06-27T08:32:01+07:00Gendis Sartika[email protected]Adellia Candra Maulana[email protected]Indira Pratama Julia Putri[email protected]Adinda Putri Widianita[email protected]
This study aims to identify and describe the types of semantic meanings found in the lyrics of Evaluasi by Hindia. A qualitative descriptive approach with semantic analysis was employed. The data consisted of words, phrases, and sentences containing lexical, connotative, contextual, and ambiguous meanings. Data were collected through documentation and note-taking techniques and analyzed using content analysis based on semantic theory. The findings indicate that the lyrics are predominantly characterized by connotative meanings representing life experiences, self-reflection, and self-acceptance through the use of metaphors and expressive diction. In addition, lexical, contextual, and ambiguous meanings were identified, each contributing to the overall interpretation of the song. The predominance of connotative meaning demonstrates Hindia's use of figurative language to convey profound emotional messages while allowing multiple interpretations by listeners. These findings suggest that song lyrics function not only as entertainment but also as a meaningful linguistic medium that reflects human experiences. This study contributes to semantic studies, particularly in the analysis of meaning in song lyrics, and may serve as a reference for future research in linguistics and literary studies.
2026-07-15T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Gendis Sartika, Adellia Candra Maulana, Indira Pratama Julia Putri, Adinda Putri Widianitahttps://ejournal.uimsya.ac.id/index.php/Peneroka/article/view/5315PELANGGARAN MAKSIM KESANTUNAN BERBAHASA PADA KOLOM KOMENTAR TIKTOK TVONE NEWS TENTANG PEMBATASAN AKUN ANAK DI BAWAH 16 TAHUN2026-07-08T11:21:30+07:00Wenny Nur Hamidah[email protected]Charisya Eka Anindya Shaputri Shaputri[email protected]Tika Yunia Saputri[email protected]Diah Lailatul Nikmah[email protected]Nur Lailiyah[email protected]
This study aims to analyze the forms and impacts of violations of politeness maxims based on Leech's Principle of Politeness theory in the comments section of the TikTok account @tvonenews regarding the social media account accounting policy for children under 16 years of age. The study used a non-geographic descriptive qualitative approach. The research data consisted of netizens' comments collected through listening, note-taking, and documentation techniques, then explained based on Leech's six politeness maxims. The results showed 29 violations spread across six types of maxims. The most violations occurred in the Humility Maxim, the Approval Maxim, and the Sympathy Maxim, with six data each, which indicated a tendency for netizens to convey criticism arrogantly, reject opinions confrontationally, and ignore empathy in responding to public policies. In contrast, only one violation of the Generosity Maxim was found because the communication context in the TikTok comment section rarely requires self-sacrifice. These findings indicate that violations of politeness principles have the potential to reduce the quality of public communication, increase trust in government policies, and strengthen opinion polarization in the digital space.
2026-07-18T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Wenny Nur Hamidah, Charisya Eka Anindya Shaputri Shaputri, Tika Yunia Saputri, Diah Lailatul Nikmah, Nur Lailiyahhttps://ejournal.uimsya.ac.id/index.php/Peneroka/article/view/5202FENOMENA SINGKATAN DAN SLANG DALAM KOMUNIKASI CHAT DIGITAL: KAJIAN LINGUISTIK TERHADAP EFISIENSI KOMUNIKASI DAN PERUBAHAN BAHASA2026-06-20T08:47:31+07:00Athaya Maharani Nurusyaika[email protected]Najwa Asna[email protected]Alvika Lutfitamulia[email protected]Imam Baehaeqie[email protected]
This study aims to analyze the form, function, and impact of the use of abbreviations and slang on communication efficiency and language change from a linguistic perspective. The development of digital communication technology has influenced language usage patterns, particularly in chat-based communication on social media and instant messaging applications. The scope of the study focuses on the use of abbreviations and slang in digital conversations on the WhatsApp, Instagram, and Telegram platforms used by users aged 18–24 years. This study emphasizes the dynamics of digital language use in everyday communication. The study uses a descriptive qualitative approach based on linguistic and sociolinguistic theories. Data analysis was conducted using the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis model, which includes data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The research data consists of 50 chat conversations from 15 digital media users collected through observation and documentation techniques during January–February 2026. The results show that the use of abbreviations and slang can increase communication efficiency by simplifying language forms so that messages can be conveyed more quickly and practically. In addition, the use of slang functions as a marker of social identity and linguistic creativity of digital media users. Research findings also indicate that abbreviations represent processes of clipping, abbreviation, acronyms, and phonological reduction, while slang reflects semantic shift. However, excessive use of non-standard language has the potential to influence the use of standard Indonesian in formal contexts, necessitating the ability to adapt language variations to the communication context.
2026-07-19T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Alvika Lutfitamulia, Najwa Asna, Athaya Maharani Nurusyaika, Imam Baehaeqiehttps://ejournal.uimsya.ac.id/index.php/Peneroka/article/view/5265ANALISIS PEMEROLEHAN BAHASA ANAK BILINGUAL USIA 8 TAHUN (STUDI KASUS B1 BAHASA BATAK TOBA DAN B2 BAHASA INDONESIA)2026-07-02T10:30:35+07:00Tia Aprinisa Simanjuntak[email protected]Eka Putri Saptari Wulan[email protected]Gresia Natasia Br Purba[email protected]
This study aims to analyze language acquisition in 8-year-old bilingual children with Toba Batak as their first language (B1) and Indonesian as their second language (B2). The study used a qualitative approach with a case study method on a child named Refael Simanjuntak who actively uses both languages ??in everyday life. Research data were obtained through observation, interviews, documentation, and listening and note-taking techniques. Data analysis was carried out through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results of the study indicate that Toba Batak language is acquired naturally through interactions within the family and community environment, making it the dominant language used by the subject. Meanwhile, Indonesian is acquired through the school environment and broader social interactions. The subject demonstrated good language skills in the aspects of phonology, morphology, syntax, and vocabulary in both languages. In addition, code-mixing and code-switching phenomena were found, demonstrating the subject's ability to adjust language use based on the situation and the interlocutor. The findings of this study indicate that the family and school environment have an important role in supporting the development of children's bilingualism. Thus, the subjects' acquisition of Toba Batak and Indonesian occurred optimally and reflects the development of good bilingual skills. These findings also indicate that using two languages ??from an early age does not hinder children's language development but can instead increase their communication flexibility and ability to choose the appropriate language for the social context they encounter.
2026-07-19T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Tia Aprinisa Simanjuntak, Eka Putri Saptari Wulan, Gresia Natasia Br Purbahttps://ejournal.uimsya.ac.id/index.php/Peneroka/article/view/5300IMPLIKATUR DAN PELANGGARAN MAKSIM PADA KASUS PELECEHAN ANAK DIMEDIA SOSIAL: KAJIAN PRAGMATIK TUTURAN DALAM VIDEO TIKTOK VENA., S.H2026-07-04T10:56:07+07:00Sefi Diah Arianti[email protected]Dwi Wahyu Puspita[email protected]Dyah Ayu Fauzyah[email protected]Laura Mirpana Rohmah[email protected]Nur Lailiyah[email protected]
This study aims to describe the implicatures and politeness maxim violations found in the comment section of TikTok videos uploaded by the account Vena N., S.H., which discuss an alleged case of child sexual abuse. The study is motivated by the free and expressive use of language on social media, which allows users to convey criticism and judgment toward the parties involved in a case. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method with data consisting of utterances containing implicatures and violations of Grice's cooperative principle and Leech's politeness principle. Data were collected through observation and note-taking techniques, then analyzed through reduction, transcription, classification, interpretation, and data presentation. The findings show 20 instances of politeness maxim violations covering the maxims of approbation, sympathy, tact, agreement, and modesty, with the most frequent violations found in the maxims of approbation and modesty. The comments also contain implicatures used to convey criticism, disappointment, and distrust toward law enforcement performance. The most dominant illocutionary function is expressive, followed by representative and directive functions. These findings indicate that although social media provides space for public criticism of legal issues, such criticism is largely expressed through politeness maxim violations and implicatures, suggesting that digital communication tends to prioritize emotional expression over linguistic politeness.
2026-07-21T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Sefi Diah Arianti, Dwi Wahyu Puspita, Dyah Ayu Fauzyah, Laura Mirpana Rohmah, Nur Lailiyahhttps://ejournal.uimsya.ac.id/index.php/Peneroka/article/view/5271KAJIAN PSIKOLOGI DALAM SINETRON ASMARA GEN Z SUTRADARA VEMMY SAGITA TAYANG DI SCTV (TEORI GUSTAV JUNG)2026-07-02T11:57:16+07:00Dina Maharani[email protected]Nur Lailiyah[email protected]Marista Dwi Rahmayantis[email protected]
This study aims to describe the intrinsic elements and personality structure of the characters in the television series Asmara Gen Z, directed by Vemmy Sagita, based on Carl Gustav Jung's analytical psychology theory. The study falls within the scope of literary studies, particularly literary psychology, with a focus on analyzing characters and their personalities through an audiovisual medium. Asmara Gen Z was selected because it represents various psychological and social issues experienced by Generation Z adolescents, including identity exploration, family conflicts, social pressure, and interpersonal relationship dynamics. This study employed a descriptive qualitative method, with data consisting of dialogues, scenes, and characters' behaviors presented throughout the series. Data were collected through observation and note-taking techniques and analyzed by classifying, coding, interpreting, and describing them according to the research categories. Data validity was ensured through methodological and theoretical triangulation. The findings reveal that the intrinsic elements, including theme, plot, setting, and characterization, are closely interconnected in constructing the psychological dynamics of the characters. The identified personality structures consist of consciousness, the personal unconscious, the collective unconscious, the archetypes of persona and shadow, as well as the attitudes of introversion and extraversion. The findings further indicate that introversion and extraversion are the most dominant personality attitudes, while the persona and shadow archetypes most frequently influence the characters' inner conflicts and decision-making processes. These findings suggest that identity exploration, social pressure, and the need for social acceptance constitute the most prominent psychological characteristics of Generation Z as represented in the television series.
2026-07-24T00:00:00+07:00Copyright (c) 2026 Dina Maharani, Nur Lailiyah, Marista Dwi Rahmayantishttps://ejournal.uimsya.ac.id/index.php/Peneroka/article/view/5332DEIKSIS PERSONA BAHASA SUNDA DALAM FILM GAMPANG CUAN KARYA RAHABI MANDRA: KAJIAN PRAGMATIK2026-07-08T11:36:25+07:00Iglima Dahlia Mutiara[email protected]Hera Meganova Lyra[email protected]Asri Soraya Afsari[email protected]
The research aims to describe the types of person deixis and the social age relations that can influence the choice of person deixis. The method used is a descriptive qualitative method with listening and note-taking techniques, followed by data analysis using the referential identity method, whereas the presentation of results uses an informal method. Sundanese utterances in the film Gampang Cuan serve as the data source in investigating person deixis. The film Gampang Cuan contains the use of person deixis across a varying age range, resulting in diverse person deixis data.
