The purpose of this study is to reframe inclusive education in Nigeria through collaboration, positioning it as the central mechanism for bridging the gap between policy aspirations and classroom realities. Specifically, the research aims to identify systemic barriers, develop a theoretical framework for collaboration, and propose a conceptual framework for multi-level implementation. A qualitative, conceptual research design was employed, drawing on a systematic review of peer-reviewed literature, policy documents, and credible gray sources. The analysis was guided by Constructivist Learning Theory, the Social Model of Disability, and Universal Design for Learning, and findings were synthesised through thematicic analysis. Findings indicate that exclusion emerges from the interplay of fragmented governance, infrastructure neglect, limited pedagogical capacity, and entrenched cultural stigma. The study argues that collaboration across ministries, schoolss, families, and communities is not optional but essential, and it proposes five domains of collaborative strategies supported by a multi-level implementation pathway. The conclusion drawn is that collaboration across ministries, schools, families, and civil society is not peripheral but essential. The study's main contribution lies in proposing an integrated framework of five collaborative strategies and a multi-level pathway that can guide both policy and practice. By advancing collaboration as the organizing principle of inclusion, the research offers a roadmap for systemic, sustainable reform.
2026-01-31T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Moses Adeleke Adeoye https://ejournal.uimsya.ac.id/index.php/elj/article/view/4471 THE ROLE OF THE PRINCIPAL AS A HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGER IN IMPROVING THE QUALITY OF EDUCATION AT SUNAN AMPEL JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL, BANYUWANGI 2025-11-27T16:32:27+07:00 Abdul Hamid [email protected] M. Sidiq Purnomo [email protected]
The purpose of this study is to analyze in depth the role of the principal as a human resource (HR) manager in an effort to improve the quality of education at Sunan Ampel Junior High School, Banyuwangi. This objective is based on the argument that the success of an educational institution does not only depend on the curriculum and facilities, but is largely determined by how the principal manages and develops the potential of human resources, especially teachers and educational staff. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method to understand the role of the principal as an HR manager at Sunan Ampel Junior High School, Banyuwangi. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participant observation, and documentation, involving the principal, teachers, and educational staff. Data analysis was carried out thematically through data reduction, presentation, and inductive conclusion drawing. Data validity was strengthened by triangulation and discussion of the results with key informants. This method is considered relevant to explore the dynamics of HR management in the context of schools based on religious values and Islamic boarding school culture. The results of this study indicate that the principal of Sunan Ampel Junior High School, Banyuwangi plays a strategic role as an HR manager with an Islamic value-based approach. Teacher planning, recruitment, and development are conducted contextually through a recommendation system, internal training, and mentoring. Adaptive and religious leadership has proven effective in improving educational quality, even with limited resources.

2025-12-01T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Abdul Hamid, M. Imam Khaudli [email protected]
This study aims to formulate the basic concepts of pesantren management within the framework of leadership through an epistemological synthesis between the turas tradition and contemporary science, so that it can become a conceptual foundation for the development of contextual, valuable, and sustainable pesantren educational leadership. This study uses a qualitative approach with a library research method to examine the basic concepts of pesantren management within the framework of educational leadership. Data were obtained from scientific literature in the form of reputable journals, academic books, and conceptual documents relevant to the Turas tradition, sharia values, and contemporary management. Data analysis was conducted through content analysis to identify, categorize, and interpret conceptual ideas. This process was aimed at formulating a coherent epistemological synthesis as the foundation of pesantren educational leadership. The results of the study show that pesantren management is a unique epistemological construct that cannot be simplified into a modern procedural-technocratic management model. Pesantren management is rooted in the epistemology of Turas leadership, which views leadership as a moral, spiritual, and scientific mandate. Pesantren educational leadership functions as a center of integration between Turas tradition, sharia principles, and contemporary knowledge within a holistic management framework. This concept is value-centric and contextual, with success measured through the sustainability of values, character building, and social relevance amid changing times.

2025-12-16T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Moh Ainul Yaqin, Rizky Aji Purwantara, Muh. Imam Khaudli [email protected]
The main objective of this study is to formulate a systematic, measurable work planning model that is in line with the characteristics of Islamic boarding schools in order to improve the effectiveness of institutional management. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to gain an in-depth understanding of the work planning process in Islamic boarding schools. Data was collected through in-depth interviews with caregivers, managers, teachers, and administrative staff to explore existing management patterns. Direct observations were conducted to observe planning practices, internal meetings, and program implementation. In addition, document analysis such as annual programs, vision and mission statements, and activity reports were used to assess the consistency of planning with implementation. The data was analyzed through reduction, presentation, and conclusion drawing to produce an ideal and applicable work planning model. The results of this study conclude that the quality of pesantren governance is greatly influenced by the existence of structured work planning, human resource competence, and the management culture applied. Many Islamic boarding schools still compile work plans spontaneously and without documentation, thereby hindering program evaluation and continuity. The low level of human resource understanding of modern management, such as needs analysis, performance indicator development, and evaluation, also weakens the planning process. However, when Islamic boarding schools begin to adopt systematic and documented planning, activities become more focused, effective, and accountable. This is in line with modern management theory, which emphasizes the importance of planning in improving organizational performance. Therefore, strengthening human resource competencies and habituating structured planning practices are key to reforming Islamic boarding school management.
2025-12-19T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 Mahmud Ghofur, Fahmi Hasbi Arrosyad, Muh. The results showed that planning was carried out systematically at the beginning of the school year by involving supervisors, coaches, and extracurricular administrators; the implementation of activities was structured through routine practice, discipline management, and full support from the school; while evaluation was carried out continuously through self-assessment and coach assessment after the performance. These findings confirm that theater extracurricular management at Silo 1 State Junior High School is able to shape character, improve communication skills, and foster student self-confidence. This study contributes to an in-depth understanding of best practices in theater extracurricular management at the junior high school level and can be used as a model for other educational institutions in optimizing extracurricular activities
2026-01-25T00:00:00+07:00 Copyright (c) 2025 kalya belvana amalia fawzie
