This study aims to describe the planning, implementation, and evaluation processes of science learning among seventh-grade students at SMPN 1 Jember. The research employed a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation involving both teachers and students. The findings reveal that teachers have designed lesson plans aligned with students’ characteristics and the learner-centered principles of the Merdeka Curriculum. The learning implementation demonstrated active participation from both teachers and students, although a greater variety of teaching methods is still needed. Learning evaluation was conducted through formative and summative assessments, yet it has not fully emphasized higher-order thinking skills. Overall, the active involvement of teachers and students throughout all learning stages plays a crucial role in enhancing the quality and meaningfulness of the learning process and outcomes.
